What is Light Pressure? It's what happens when you combine a high/low new music duo and an adventurous mezzo to create an evening of new music featuring a wide spectrum of new music ranging from sensual storytelling to delicate timbral whispers.

This concert, held at the Philadelphia art gallery of Romanian sculptor Viorel Farcas, will feature works by:

Gregory W Brown (world premiere of a murder ballad about the Quaker martyr Mary Dyer, text by Todd Hearon)

Haukur Þór Harðarson (Philadelphia premiere, commissioned by Departure Duo , text by Sophie Fetokaki)

Melissa Dunphy (a sneak peak of a song from my one-woman show in development, the #BodiceRipperProject)

Rosśa Crean (Philadelphia premiere of their Irish Sean-Nos songs) Come join us as we play with musical colors, words, sounds and ideas!
